How to Get Your AECB Personal Credit Report in the UAE

Your AECB (Al Etihad Credit Bureau) credit report is one of the most important documents banks review when assessing applications for mortgages, personal loans, and credit cards in the UAE.

This guide shows you:

The steps to access
Where to find your credit score
How to download the full report with ease
What it costs
And why your credit report matters so much

How to Access Your Personal AECB Credit Report

You can easily access your credit report through the official AECB website. The process is simple and can be done online in just a few minutes.

Visit the official Website

1

Login Using UAE Pass

Once you access the AECB portal, you can sign in easily using your UAE Pass credentials. If you don’t already have a UAE Pass account, you will need to register first in order to proceed.

2

Dashboard

Once you are logged in, your AECB credit score will appear on your dashboard, along with a summary of your overall credit profile.

In the credit report section, you will be able to view both the credit score summary and the option to access the full detailed credit report.

For banking and mortgage applications, the detailed credit report is required, so you can proceed with selecting and downloading the full report.

3

Verification & Payment

Once you choose to access your detailed credit report, you may be asked to verify your identity. This is usually done through a security question or a one-time password (OTP).

After completing the verification, you can proceed with the payment. The cost of the detailed personal AECB credit report is approximately AED 84.

(The price will be shown on the AECB portal before you make the payment.)

Once the payment is successful, your detailed credit report will be available for download. You may also receive a copy in your registered email.

Importance of Mortgage Applications

For mortgage applications, banks do not rely on the credit score alone. Instead, they review the full detailed credit report, as it provides a complete picture of your financial position, existing liabilities, and repayment history.

As part of the security and privacy process, detailed credit reports are generally only accessible to applicants through their own login on the AECB portal. Because of this, banks may not have full visibility of your credit details until the report is formally downloaded and shared by you.

How and why downloading your credit report in advance will help you:

  • Gives you a clear understanding of your current financial liabilities
  • Helps you identify any missed, overlooked, or pending payments
  • Shows how your loans and credit card facilities are recorded
  • Allows you to spot any credit enquiries made under your name that you may not have been fully aware of
  • Helps you provide accurate and confident information when speaking with a bank or mortgage advisor
  • Supports better financial planning and improves your overall readiness before applying for a mortgage

Your credit report is a time-sensitive document, meaning it is generally valid for 30 days. During the mortgage process, the bank may ask you to provide your credit report at the pre-approval stage, and some banks may also require a valid report again when initiating the Final Offer Letter (FOL).
