Salary Transfer Letter

Salary Transfer Letter is a formal document issued by an employer to a bank, confirming that an employee's salary will be transferred directly to the bank account specified by the employee. This is a common practice when you are applying for a mortgage, personal loan, or any salary transfer product in the UAE. The STL usually includes an indemnity clause, which basically protects the bank by making sure that any financial obligations tied to your job are prioritized if there is a termination.

In situations where you wish to transfer your salary to a different bank, your employer (depending on their policies) may first request certain documents from your existing bank before issuing a new Salary Transfer Letter. These documents could include a no-objection letter, a liability letter, or a clearance letter.
